If you’ve been on social media lately, you’ve probably seen how much fun people are having at the 40 Days & Nights of Gospel Music at the Ark Encounter.
The event kicked off on August 2 with some captivating preachers and lively Gospel music. But if you couldn’t make it last week, don’t worry. There’s still time to grab your tickets and enjoy some family fun that also equips you with truth from God’s Word.
Join us next week for some soul-stirring preaching from renowned pastors and speakers like CT Townsend, Dr. Robert Jeffress, Dr. Javon Ruff, and Ken Ham!
Sunday-Tuesday (August 22-24)
On Sunday at 3 p.m. and on Monday and Tuesday morning, Pastor CT Townsend will take the stage to share the message that burdens his heart most—knowing Jesus.
“We all hope and pray that there are a lot of people who come to Christ through the event,” he says. “That’s our main goal. A big burden on my heart is revival. I want to see our churches come together and see God do something our generation, like we read about in the history books.
“I refuse to believe that God’s done. We say, ‘Oh, if we want to see what God did, we have to look back,’ when in reality, God is as strong today as He’s ever been.”
That’s why Pastor Townsend is praying that the 40 Days & Nights of Gospel Music will be the momentum we need to see another revival in our day. As believers let God stir up the flame of revival in their hearts at the Ark Encounter, each one can then take that spark back to their local communities!
Wednesday-Thursday (August 25-26)
Come watch Dr. Robert Jeffress preach Wednesday evening and Thursday morning!
You’ll walk away from both sessions equipped to defend one of the most attacked doctrines in the American church today—the exclusivity of Christ. Sadly, more and more people are falling for the lie that Jesus isn’t the only way to Heaven.
“The disturbing trend is that even evangelicals are rejecting that doctrine,” Dr. Jeffress says. “I wrote a book a couple years ago called Not All Roads Lead to Heaven. And at that time, nearly 60% of those who identify as evangelicals believed there’s more than one way to God. And that’s an astounding figure when you think about it—60% is nearly two-thirds of evangelicals.”
That’s why Dr. Jeffress is excited to preach on John 14:6, where Jesus says, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father except through Me” (NASB). The better modern Christians understand this truth and all its implications, the better the church can impact our culture.
“The fact that God says, ‘There’s only one way to be saved’ is not a sign of His injustice,” Dr. Jeffress says. “It’s a sign of His love. The most loving thing we can do for people is point them to that one way of salvation through faith in Jesus Christ.”
Friday (August 27)
Dr. Javon Ruff, pastor of Free Chapel’s Spartanburg campus in South Carolina, is looking forward to preaching at 40 Days & Nights of Gospel Music Friday evening.
“It was truly a privilege and honor to be extended the invitation to be part of this event,” he says. “I don’t take that lightly.”
“We want to encounter Christ,” he says. “We want to honor the presence of God. That’s my heart’s cry in this season, to see God move in all our lives, including mine. I really believe, more than anything, that people at this event will encounter God’s presence, hear God’s voice, and walk away with something they did not have prior to that moment.”
Saturday, August 28
Make sure to join us Saturday morning to hear Answers in Genesis founder Ken Ham speak! In each of his sessions, he shares well-researched truth to help you defend your Christian faith in an increasingly secular culture.
“The 40 Days & Nights of Gospel Music event is going to be a stunning time of first-class music that praises the Lord,” he says. “It’ll also enable people to hear the teaching of God’s Word and gives them answers to the issues skeptics raise today. Each speaker will equip them to be bold in the Christian faith in a way they may never have been equipped before and be set on fire for the Lord like they may never have been before.”
